Solar built into your home — saves money from day one. No upfront cost, built into your mortgage, CMHC Eco Plus rebate eligible.

Why this, why now

You own your home. Let's look at owning your power, too.

The average home spends $140+ per month on electricity — and that keeps rising. A solar starter system, built in during construction, is designed to offset that from month one.

Dylan, Lead Educator & Sales Director

A quick note from me

Hi, I'm Dylan — Lead Educator and Sales Director with Pioneer Solar. I work directly with homeowners during the build stage to help them understand how solar fits into their home, and whether it actually makes sense financially.

This isn't a sales pitch. If you book a call, it's just a straightforward conversation — I'll answer your questions, walk through the numbers, and show you what solar could look like on your home.

No pressure. No fluff. Just honest info so you can make the right decision for yourself.

Frequently asked

Quick answers to common questions.

System performance & coverage
No. This starter system offsets a portion of your usage — typically about 50% of an average $140 monthly power bill. It's designed to make the numbers work well and can be expanded later.
Most starter systems save about $60–$70 per month, depending on usage.
Yes. The system is expandable, you can typically go up to around 10 panels total (adding ~4 more), increasing offset closer to $100–$120 per month.
Energy & utility questions
  • • Solar panels go on the roof and turn sunlight into electricity
  • • Microinverters convert that into power your home can use
  • • Your home uses solar power first, before pulling from the grid
  • • Any extra power goes back to the grid and is banked for later use
Any excess power your home produces from solar that it can't use instantly is sent to the utility and credited at 50% for future use.
Any extra energy is sent back to the grid and credited to you at current utility rates for future use — handled automatically by the utility company.
You'll first use any credits you've built up. If needed, your home automatically draws power from the grid when solar production is low or inactive.
Cost & incentives
The starter package is $13,420, built into your mortgage with no upfront cost.
It depends on purchase price and down payment, but typically ranges from about $3,000–$5,000.
These homes are already close to qualifying, adding solar is what typically pushes them over the threshold. Final eligibility depends on program approval.
Equipment, monitoring & maintenance
You'll have access to a mobile app showing real-time energy production. If anything isn't working properly, you'll be notified, and Pioneer Solar will coordinate a fix.
Very minimal. With the roof pitch, snow usually slides off on its own. If panels get dusty, rain or a quick garden-hose rinse cleans them.
No. Batteries aren't included in the starter system but can be added anytime in the future.
Ownership & flexibility
The system stays with the home and can increase resale value — homes with solar are typically more attractive since they cost less to operate, often adding ~3–5% value.
No, it's completely optional.
Warranty & reliability
Yes, a 12 year workmanship warranty (Pioneer Solar), 15 year solar panel product warranty, 25 year microinverter warranty, and 30 year performance warranty.
Yes, systems are designed for year-round performance in local conditions.
